To prevent the 50 mm vacuum pipes from clogging within a year, these pipes are usually cleaned with high pressure or flushed with crushed ice under high pressure every six months. In many cases, a chemical liquid (Honey Bee 60) is added once a week.
All chemical agents are eliminated in aircraft equipped with the SKW System. The deposits on the inner walls are minimal, remain soft, and are gradually sucked into the waste tank during the flushing process.
